WALDORF, Md. — Today marks the anniversary of the homicide of Karen Sabrina Wills, a resident of Waldorf.
Her case remains unsolved.

On September 4, 2001 at approximately 1:30am, officers with the Charles County Sheriff’s Office responded to a residence at Kings Wharf Place in the Wakefield subdivision of Waldorf, for the report of a shooting.
Upon arrival, officers located the victim inside the residence, suffering from a gunshot wound.
Investigation revealed that the residence was occupied by multiple individuals and that the shots were fired from outside the home.
Karen was 20 years old at the time of her death. She was a sales associate at Marshalls and an aspiring model.
She had hoped to become a daycare provider.

That’s soo crazy at this time I lived maybe 2 miles from this area. Waldorf at this time just started Boomin those hick police aren’ weren’t ready for all the people that moved there soo fast at one time. This was all country farming area right outside of DC …. Soo sad I hope they get a break in the case Prayers go out to the family keep your head up
Sadly they know who did it but he was the son of a detective and that is why it’s still unsolved I told the police several times who did it! They have chose to turn a blind eye because she was a black girl and he was a dumb young white boy with access to Daddy’s gun
So try telling them again. You have a black sheriff now and the naacp on your side and I’m sure the detective is long retired.
Air it all out again now! Times have changed as far as police brutality and them being “above the law”. Not saying it’s where it should be, but progress has been made in my opinion! A young innocent lady lost her life!!! If we don’t continue to fight and voice what needs to be said as a whole, through oppression, they win!
